Leadership Introduction

1. Define leadership

Leadership means to me that you get to lead other people instead being a "follower". You take action for the people who needs it.
2. Describe the characteristics and qualities of effective leaders. Who comes to mind when you think of good leaders? What about bad leaders? What makes them different?
Characteristics of a leader should have a strong will and mind. They are thinking for others instead of themselves. The qualities of a leader is what makes them strong for others. Winston Churchill was a very strong leader. He lead the British through the WW2. He gave a strong speech to give people courage and hope. Hitler was a good leader he just had a different opinion about the Jewish people. He made a really good speech that convinced the people that different people are a danger to them. My Mom is an awesome leader! She takes care of people and controls her own agency named NICA. She is a great leader to me because she takes good care of me and I like it. There is really no good or bad leaders but different style and method of leading. Some people would like one or another.

3. Describe the various types of leadership styles such as : democratic, laissez-faire, transformative, transcational, charsmatic, bureauarctic  and authoritarian. Can you match leaders you've met before with one of those types?
Democratic-People get to vote who is going to be the next PM, President
Laisserz-faire- there are no rules
Transformative- The people will change a lot of things.
Transactional- The reward and punishment system.
Charismatic- the person is really nice and kind. can be a bad thing too.
Bureaucratic- Follow the rule right and correctly
Authoritarian- The government has full control of the nation.

Hitler - charsmatic
Churchill - democratic
Mom - authoritarian

4.  Which leadership type(s) do you believe fit you best?

I am charismatic and transformative. My last resort would be authoritarian if people won't finish their work.

2. create a personal growth plan for leadership development

2.1 evaluate personal core values
Born Leader, Creative, Independent, Deep Thinker, Witty

2.2 create a personal leadership philosophy such as a mission statement
I like to get the work done before anything else. "Do it right the first time" I like to be nice and calm but don't get on my nerve otherwise I will pop a fuse and it will take awhile to replace the fuse.

2.3 design at least one SMART (specific, measureable, attainable, realistic, timely) goal for personal leadership development
Encourage people to follow me, Know how to 'speak their language', Be patient with people, Make sure that
